Smith Industries, Inc. operates one of the oldest and largest scrap processors in the Mid-Atlantic region. Through our state-of-the-art separation systems, we buy, process, and sell ferrous and non-ferrous metals by turning raw scrap into a clean and mill ready product.
Having been around since 1898, we have learned many things along our journey. We are honored to be part of the communities that our facilities are located in. We are constantly looking for more ways to help make recycling easier and more rewarding while helping our neighbors.
Our Customers
We are open for business to the general public. Our customers include local residents as well as commercial and industrial businesses including plumbers, electricians, tow companies, salvage yards, construction and demolition contractors. In addition, we deal with local, county, state, and federal government entities.

Since we have facilities located throughout Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and Delaware, we are strategically located to handle the many jobs our customers have throughout Mid-Atlantic Region.
